About

My expertise is in media project management, events for sound, audio and hosts (comperes).  I have an interest in social enterprise entrepreneurship and using media for change and social inclusion.

I have extensive experience in radio (local and national markets) including presentation, creative, production, sales, marketing, and copywriting.

I’m conscious in not making this a list of things I can do, but I believe if you don’t sell yourself who else will.  Thus I can also offer knowledge of online media, audio design, website design and event management for radio and large scale visitor led events.

As an event host or stage compere I’ve had the opportunity to work with fantastic events throughout the UK hosting in front of a few hundred to audiences of thousands.  Either way it is always a thrill to be on stage.

The majority of my time is spent as a project manager for Media for Development to lead their prison radio and education project at HMP Wandsworth – I manage a fantastic team of radio and teaching professionals at what is a multi award winning radio project.  Its presenters have won a Mind Media Award, many Koestler Awards, and three IVCA Clarion awards and last year a nomination for a prestigious Sony Radio Academy Award.

These though significant fall behind my proudest moment at the project.  At a graduation event for the participants one student stood up to present to the audience.

It was simple but left a lump in the throat, he thanked the tutors for helping him learn to read and write, he added that called his mum and she broke down in tears.  It’s the first time in his life he had written to his mum and she was overcome with emotion, he was 42.  That for me is one of the reasons I do what I do each day, it makes it all worthwhile.
